📢 WAITING LIST CLOSURE NOTICE

Tennessee Valley Housing Services (TVHS) will close its Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) and Public Housing (all sizes except 4 and 5 bedroom) waiting lists effective July 2, 2026.

Due to the large number of applications currently on file and extended wait times for assistance, TVHS will temporarily stop accepting new applications for these programs. This action allows staff to continue processing existing applicants and maintain efficient program administration. Applications submitted before the deadline will remain active and continue through the normal review process.

The waiting lists will remain closed until further notice. Any future re-opening announcements will be posted on our website and social media pages.

TVHS has contracted Gilson Housing Partners to conduct our Housing and Section 8 Inspections. The inspection group will contact the tenant and owner when an inspection is needed. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
